Outdoor and Forest Play

Huge outdoor play area

Our large outdoor area is used for learning that we link to the indoor area and is a great space for children to have fun and do some exercise.

We have simple and more challenging outdoor equipment and children sow and tend to seasonal plants in the raised beds.

The area has a very natural feel, with grass, wooden play equipment and a stream. Sections are well covered to allow maximum use in all seasons. In summer, the children have their afternoontea outside!

Forest Play

We access the forest in Roundhay Park on a regular basis as part of our Forest Play programme for the Over 2s.

Forest play is an important part of the learning and development at the nursery.
